Mamma Gógó, the new film from veteran Fridrik Thór Fridriksson, will open on January 1st 2010. The film has autobiographical elements, as it deals with a struggling director who’s just released an unsuccessful movie (Children of Nature) and at the same time has to deal with his mother’s alzheimer’s condition. Mamma Gógó stars Hilmir Snær Gudnason and Kristbjörg Kjeld, Ari Kristinsson, Fridriksson’s longtime collaborator, returns as Director of Photography. Gudrún Edda Thórhannesdóttir (Country Wedding) produces for Spellbound Productions. Released by Sena.
