The numbers are in: Mr. Bjarnfredarson, the comedy/drama from Ragnar Bragason, has replaced James Cameron’s Avatar at the top spot, to become Iceland’s highest grossing opener on record. Accumulated three-day (Saturday-Monday) box office is IKR. 18.878.300 (€ 104.036) and reaches IKR. 20.413.700 (€ 112.497) with previews included. Tickets sold during the first three days total 15.742 and with previews 18.582 (source: SMÁÍS).
