Sagafilm, the production company behind the Shift series and Mr. Bjarnfredarson, has joined forces with the cast and crew to drum up support for the Icelandic film and TV industry. The team will create 8 short sketches set to happen at the gas station where The Night Shift was shot, starring the country’s most famous TV characters from the aforementioned series and film.

The writers, actors, producers, costume designer, set designer, cinematographer and make-up artist along with grips, lighting, sound technicians and post-production staff, will donate their work to show their support to the industry in the face of the massive cutbacks in state investment in the industry. The sketches, aimed at disspelling film-making myths, will be shown at the Edda – Icelandic Film and Television Awards broadcast on Channel 2 later this month. The sketches will show up on ICN when ready.
