The jury described Got Water? as an “honestly told story with visual courage  and its heart was in the right place. The acting was effortless and the moments were allowed to breathe.” The film describes the awkward but intimate encounter between two young men, who meet through an online dating service.

The jury had the following to say about Sugarcube by Sara Gunnarsdóttir: “We all liked this film. It was sharply told and came from the heart. The narrative structure was clear and the idea entertaining.” The animation film is about the process of growing up.

“This film surprised us” said the jury about Logi Hilmarsson’s Gravity. “It was original and well written. It went beyond realism and took us out of our comfort zone.” The film describes the meeting of three friends under a starry sky and meditates on the fuzzy line between imagination and reality.

A total of 22 shorts were screened. The jury members were filmmakers Baldvin Z. (the upcoming Jitters) and Vera Sölvadóttir (Burkina Faso 8600 km) and actress Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir (King’s Road).
