Director Hilmar Oddsson, new rector of The Icelandic Film School.
Director Hilmar Oddsson (December) has been appointed Rector of The Icelandic Film School. Oddsson finished his education in film directing from the Munich Film Academy in 1986 and has since been one of the most active filmmakers in Iceland. He has directed 5 full features and various live action TV films, documentaries, studio shows and short films.
Oddsson has an extensive experience as a teacher of filmmaking and acting for the Icelandic Film School and the Icelandic Academy of the Arts among others. He replaces Bödvar Bjarki Pétursson, the chairman of the school board.
